Progetto Leonardo is the transformation of the flat area Erzelli – currently used as a container depot – into a large technology park.
Located between the motorway and the current airport at 116 metres above sea level this flat area extends across 20 hectares making it the ideal site for high tech manufacture and research.
Systematica’s work concentrated on themes of accessibility to the area and traffic within the site.
The different accessibility schemes to the individual “blocks” were evaluated and the various opportunities for links with the existing public transport infrastructure were identified.
One particular study was the connection between Cornigliano FS station and the Erzelli, for which an “intermediate” type of solution was developed.
