Varesine is a mixed-use development in Milan containing 110.000 square metres, in eleven buildings ranging in size from 8 to 34 stories, and will also include approximately 1.500 parking spaces placed underneath the Podium in 3 storeys.
The development includes residential, offices, retail and public functions, as well as a conference centre.
Systematica was involved to analyse the external traffic conditions and the accessibility strategy, using the macro simulation model Cube and the micro simulation model S-Paramics, configured to evaluate the accessibility layout.
Furthermore Systematica studied alongside the designers the drop off system, accessibility and design of the parking area layout of each item (ramps, stalls, barriers), evaluating also different car park management strategies which would be provided.
Each design item was carefully evaluated to develop an excellent Level of Service for users: workers, residents and for public functions
