Moscow Metro Stations Competition

Moscow Metro is not just a transport system, it is a significant piece of the history of the city and a key public space in muscovites’ lives. More than 2.5 billion trips are made annually and for this Moscow Metro is one of the most intensely used undergrounds in the world.

We are happy to announce that we have been chosen as finalists within the Consortium led by Zaha Hadid Architects Ltd (London, UK) together with A-project, Krost (Moscow, Russia) and Arup Lighting (London, UK) for the development of the architectural concept of Moscow Metro Station “Klenoviy bulvar 2”. 113 companies from 12 countries took part in the competition,

5 teams are now shortlisted for the design of stations on two new branches of the Moscow Metro.

The main objective of this competition is to find the unique architectural-artistic solutions for interiors of passenger areas and entrance halls of the two new metro stations – “Prospekt Marshala Zhukova” and “Klenoviy bulvar 2”.
