Systematica for Cortina 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championship

After 61 years, Cortina – the “Queen of the Dolomites” – will host the 46th FIS Alpine World Championship, for the third time since the competition was launched in 1931. The World Championship is being organized by Fondazione Cortina2021 which mission consists in preparing Cortina and the Dolomites to welcome around 600 athletes and 230,000 visitors that will reach Ampezzano mountains from all over the world.

Systematica is pleased to announce of being appointed by Fondazione Cortina2021 for the development of the accessibility and transportation plans of the 46th FIS Alpine World Championship.

After the successful experiences of EXPO 2015 (Milan) and The Floating Piers (Lake Iseo), Systematica keeps on being a reference in the domain of crowd management and mobility planning of major events. For Cortina2021, Systematica will study and set the strategies of accessibility and mobility aiming to guarantee efficient management of the expected vehicular and pedestrian flows. The strategy that Systematica will devise will involve the competitions’ sites, along with the city of Cortina and the major transport facilities and infrastructure in its surroundings.

Cortina dreams of a full urban refurbishment capable to enhance its beauties and improve its operational performances: Systematica is already working to make this dream come true.
