Systematica presented the Accessibility and Mobility Strategic Plan to the delegation of International Ski Federation (FIS) in Cortina.

Crowd management and mobility planning of major events is part of Systematica’s main expertise. We believe that effective and tailored mobility plan both at strategic and operational level plays a crucial role in improving visitors experience and ensuring the overall success of the event.

The World Alpine Skiing Championships 2021 will take place in Italy, in Cortina d’Ampezzo, from 8 to 21 February. The major sport event is expected to be participated by more than 15 thousand people daily including international athletes, spectators, staff, volunteers, media and so on.

Samuele Camolese, Project Manager at Systematica, joined the coordination meeting in Cortina to illustrate the multi-modal plan with specific focus on crowd management of the international sport event.

Systematica sets up the accessibility and mobility plan at both territorial and local scales, to include all available multi-modal transport systems. The project includes estimating and evaluating the traffic volumes at territorial scale, integrated and multi-modal accessibility strategies for the different operational scenarios and the different user categories, parking solution and suggesting alternative modes of transport such as shuttle buses for transferring the participants.
