Sys-News_16-11-25

Systematica, together with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), Silvio d’Ascia Architecture and Agence Baylone, are awarded the competition for the new Express Metro Station in Pont de Bondy by SGP (Sociétée de Grand Paris).

Launched in early 2016 by the SGP, the architectural contest envisages the completion of the extensive network of stations dotting the Grand Paris urban area at the horizon 2030. Pont the Bondy station is conceived as an iconic landmark, able to promote the urban regeneration project in its surroundings.

Systematica supported the architectural team by covering all the aspects related to external accessibility with different modes of transport (bus and planned BRT line, tramway, car, walking and cycling) serving each side of the building, focusing mainly on the reconfiguration of the tramway and roadway bridges running beside the new station. Furthermore, the prominent challenge of the internal mobility is addressed by ensuring seamless and rapid pedestrian connections between the platforms, the urban level and the bridge level by guarantying the adequate capacity for the expected volumes of passengers.
