AC Milan New Stadium

Systematica is appointed by ARUP Italia to join the design team involved in the development of the new stadium for AC Milan. Systematica uses its specialized knowledge in mobility to make the qualitative analysis for transport system of the new stadium. The analysis is focused on the recently renewed area of ‘Portello’ and considers all the opportunities and threats that the realisation of the new stadium could entail from a transport point of view.

The analysis done by Systematica covers the following aspects: accessibility and circulation layouts by private vehicles and public transport; parking system, and; pedestrian and soft mobility accessibility. An in-depth investigation is developed for the ratio between space supply and expected pedestrian flows inwards/outwards the new stadium; this issue is investigated through the definition of preliminary proposals to be executed in order to grant safe and comfortable access/egress to all the categories of users of the new AC Milan Stadium.
