Systematica_Toppen Shopping Centre_Catchment Area

Toppen Shopping Centre is a four story mall, with a unique rooftop that includes a large multi-purpose piazza, community garden, play areas, sporting facilities, a cinema and alfresco eateries of 102,500 sqm GFA.  The project is currently under construction and located in Tebrau City Centre which is approximately 10.5 km from the Johor Bahru city centre and next to IKEA Tebrau. It is estimated to attract 15 million visitors by 2020, targeting not only shoppers from Johor but also Singapore.

Systematica is appointed as traffic and transport consultant for all issues related to accessibility, parking design and parking management strategies. The consultancy started with a detailed analysis of the surrounding area continued by the identification of the main strategies to be implemented for improving accessibility to the project, parking management, taxis, valet and deliveries. The main focus of the consultancy was maximizing the parking provision while ensuring an intuitive, safe and efficient circulation for vehicles and pedestrians, all proposals are tested and validated through dynamic simulations.
