Gino Vittorio Mazzini Mascareno

Gino Mazzini joined Systematica in 2025 as a Senior Transport Engineering Consultant. His main activities include urban transport system design and analysis, traffic studies, transport modelling, and strategic support for the development of the logistics area. His experience spans both urban mobility planning and port logistics, with a focus on the design and optimisation of complex transport systems.

His background includes the development of urban mobility projects, such as the implementation of electric bus routes, public transport network planning, and the design of innovative systems including Demand-Responsive Transit (DRT) and Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). He has also contributed to the evaluation of parking policies and systems, as well as the assessment of shared mobility solutions.

Previously, Gino served as Port Operations Manager at the Port of Antofagasta in Chile, where he successfully led the implementation of a sustainable logistics system for mineral transport and oversaw the company’s management control system. He also designed and simulated freight and labour transport systems for a major mining project. In earlier roles, he worked in sea logistics at a leading freight forwarder, coordinated truck fleet operations, and provided academic support as a teaching assistant at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaiso.
