Systematica for Bologna Sustainable Urban Mobility and Logistics Plans
Systematica is part of the team led by TPS Italia appointed with the development of the SUMP (Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan) and SULP (Sustainable Urban Logistics Plan) for «Città Metropolitana di Bologna» (Bologna Metropolitan City). The initiative is aimed at providing one of the major Italian metropolitan areas with an effective and up-to-date sustainable mobility plan, involving all the modes used for moving both passengers and goods. Indeed, two are the key-aspects of the entire Project: 1) Soft Mobility, and; 2) Logistics.
The initiative is promoted by the European Project CE222 SULPiTER (Sustainable Urban Logistics Planning to Enhance Regional Freight Transport), and is cofounded by FESR, within the INTERREG Central Europe programme. As stated in the official documentation of the above-mentioned programme, the main objective of this Project is “to improve capacities for mobility planning in functional urban areas to lower CO2 emissions“.
