Abubakr Albashir

Abubakr Albashir is a geoinformatics engineer who joined Systematica in March 2023 as a data analyst. His main activity is analysing location-based data to understand mobility patterns in cities. Having a background in geoinformatics and surveying engineering, he is involved in research focusing on understanding various patterns from spatio-temporal analysis of geo-referenced data.

Abubakr’s previous experience includes geospatial data analysis and modelling with heterogeneous geo-referenced data, including Earth Observations for understanding both global and local environmental changes on the planet, the resilience of cities to natural hazards and the impact of climate change in urban areas.
