Marija joined Systematica in October 2023 as a mobility and urban planner, involved in multi-scalar projects related to public transit connectivity, user accessibility, and multimodal transit regeneration. Currently, she provides mobility strategies for projects with various context settlements, supported by topics ranging from micro-mobility to public transport studies. Having set her educational base in Italy, she is engaged in both international and national projects, as well as competitions.
Considering her previous experiences before joining Systematica, she worked as a junior architect proposing and defining design solutions for medium-scale projects, more particularly mixed-use developments and open public space regenerations. During the second cycle of her studies, Marija discovered her strong interest and passion for aviation, public transit networks, and innovative solutions. Since then, she has been exploring concepts related to the connectivity of transit stations and airports while enhancing and focusing on passengers’ experience, which inspired her to write her Master of Science thesis on the topic.
Marija finds beauty and inspiration in the relationship between spatial networks and human interactions, especially in complex systems such as airports and transit stations.
