Nicole Cabarcas Cuevas is a transport engineer who has been working with Systematica since 2023. She began her trajectory in the company as an intern and then started working as a transport planner. During this time, she has been involved in several projects regarding transport modeling for both vehicular simulation and pedestrian models at different scales using simulation software packages: VISUM, VISSIM, and VISWALK.
In 2023, she obtained a Master of Science in Civil Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, focused on Transportation and Infrastructures. Due to her interest in transport modelling, she developed her master thesis project “Progettazione di cicli semaforici fissi e attuati con priorità ai sistemi di TPL. Un caso studio nella città di Roma”. (“Design of fixed and actuated traffic signal cycles with priority for public transport systems: a case study in the city of Rome.”)
