Located on the east side of Milano, near the Linate Airport and Rogoredo station, the regeneration project consists of the construction of over 400,000 sqm of mixed-use functions, including residences (more than 220,000 sqm), offices and retail areas, a public park of over 330,000 sqm and the Pala Italia Arena, the future hockey facility for the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.
Systematica has carried out an integrated and comprehensive mobility masterplan, including a vehicular accessibility system, parking dimensioning, and public and soft transport strategies, in which it tested different alternatives through static and dynamic traffic simulations at different scales.
The main infrastructural provisions introduced by the project are the following: a new tram line connecting the M3 Rogoredo Station to the future M4 Forlanini Quartiere Station, the improvement of the existing Mecenate interchange, and the realization of the Paullese primary road in addition to the new internal network and the articulated parking system.
