Systematica is part of the UN4Mykolaiv task force coordinated by the UNECE Housing and Land Management Unit and led by One Works. The team, also composed of LAND, Politecnico di Milano, LIUC – Università Cattaneo, GISdevio Srl, and COWI, is collaborating closely with the Mykolaiv Municipality and other Ukrainian experts and academics to provide a strategic framework for reconstructing the port city and strategic hub, which was heavily affected by the conflict. It aims to provide sustainable, innovative, future-proof, and inclusive mobility strategies, considering a city for the citizens and reinforcing a sense of community.

During the preliminary transport and mobility analysis phase, which is now completed, Systematica grasped the city’s great potential and delivered a detailed and comprehensive study of the city’s pre-conflict transport infrastructure, mobility patterns, and city characteristics. We also identified the main opportunities and challenges.

These studies were further explained during the presentation of the transport and mobility analysis phase. It included detailed quantitative and qualitative benchmarks from six selected port cities to inform best practices and strategies in the mobility sector applicable to the ambitions of the Future of the Mykolaiv Master Plan project.
