Sys-News_16-04-09

Systematica is glad to announce its appointment by Galeries Lafayette for a comprehensive pedestrian study of the Historic Department Store (Cupole) located amidst the heart of Paris along the Haussmann Boulevard. This appointment lies within the General Framework of the ongoing rehabilitation and regeneration planning and design process for said Department Store consisting mainly improvement of horizontal and vertical connections at seven floors. The pedestrian study started recently and is expected to be completed by early June 2016. The study entails a detailed analysis and traffic modelling of the current pedestrian movements and behaviors in the shopping center with a consequent focus on measuring and mitigating the impact of the planned changes.

This appointment will reinforce Systematica’s know-how in dealing with similar complex retail environments, adding on top of its recently awarded competition of Lafayette in Champs-Elysées in Paris carried out alongside the Leading Danish architectural studio, BIG.
