Grasbrook Urban Regeneration Competition Winner is Announced
Systematica is thrilled to be part of the winning team led by Herzog & de Meuron and in collaboration with Vogt landscape architects and Transsolar Klima Engineering.
Grasbrook district in Hamburg is a former port area that will turn into a new neighbourhood with 3,000 apartments, 16,000 workplaces, and spacious recreational areas.
The proposed mobility strategy for the project envisages an attractive district for pedestrians and cyclists that connects to the current cycling network along the Elbe river water front and with the surroundings neighbourhoods, such as Veddel and others.
In addition, the Master Plan includes a comprehensive, integrated and multimodal transport strategy that encourages the shift towards more a sustainable and efficient transport and mobility system.
