Scalo Porta Romana

Systematica is part of the international consortium headed by OUTCOMIST, which also includes Diller Scofidio + Renfro, PLP Architecture, Carlo Ratti Associati, Gross. Max, Nigel Dunnett Studio, Arup, Portland Design, Studio Zoppini, Aecom, Land and Artelia, that is shortlisted as finalist for the masterplan of the Scalo Porta Romana in the second phase of the competition.

The Porta Romana railway yard in Milan is a large conversion zone covering an area of approximately 190,000 sqm that will turn into a development zone of urban and green spaces interconnecting the entire metropolitan area. In 2026 it will welcome the Olympic village of the Winter Olympic game Milano cortina that will be converted to social and student housing after the event.
