EXPO 2020 – Morocco Pavilion

Parisian studio OUALALOU+CHOI appointed Systematica for the internal mobility study of the Morocco Pavilion, designed for Expo 2020 in Dubai and destined to take part to the Expo legacy.

The exhibition concept is imagined as a gentle promenade descending from the summit to the ground, allegory of Moroccan climate zones and nature environment. The pavilion is developed along a central ramp defining the inner courtyard and connecting the 14 exhibition rooms. Accessory functions such as a traditional restaurant, tea room, lounge, hanging gardens offer visitors moments of rest during the exhibition experience.

At the end of the international event, the Pavilion will be converted into a housing complex equipped with exclusive sports facilities.

Among the addressed mobility topics -such as expected public demand, average visiting time and daily visiting profiles- special attention is paid to analyzing lift system performance and waiting area on Ground Floor, being crucial in defining pavilion attendance target while allowing a comfortable and smooth visiting experience.
