The Context

As part of Saudi Vision 2030, the entertainment sector is playing a central role in the Kingdom’s economic diversification and urban transformation agenda. Within this framework, Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) is developing a new generation of entertainment destinations across multiple sites throughout Saudi Arabia.

These large-scale developments aim to redefine the visitor experience through innovative entertainment, retail, and leisure offerings integrated within diverse urban contexts across the country.

The scale and geographic diversity of the SEVEN sites required a detailed and adaptable approach, capable of balancing local site requirements with broader mobility objectives.

Our Role

Systematica was appointed to conduct detailed Traffic Design peer reviews of 10 SEVEN sites, a portfolio-wide Traffic Design Analysis report, and the creation of Traffic and Car Park Design standards.  Work is underway on all parts of the project assigned to Systematica and is currently at various stages of completion.

Our services the peer review of the project design across all stages, from concept development to construction, including the review of Traffic Impact Studies (TIS). In addition the  scope includes the development of traffic and parking design guidelines and the delivery of a portfolio-level mobility analysis.

The objective is to support high-quality visitor experience through coordinated mobility strategies and a consistent design approach across the sites.

Process and Methods

The peer review process addressed multiple scales of mobility and transport planning, from city-wide accessibility to detailed on-site traffic design and connectivity.

The scope of work includes:

  • City-scale mobility and connectivity analysis
  • Traffic Impact Study review and mitigation assessment
  • Junction performance and trip distribution analysis
  • Wayfinding and access strategy evaluation
  • Accessibility and circulation review for private vehicles and drop-off areas
  • Public transport and soft mobility integration
  • Parking demand, supply, and operational strategy assessment
  • Internal road, parking, and pedestrian circulation review

In parallel, Systematica developed a portfolio-wide Mobility Matrix and benchmarked international best practices to define a coherent mobility vision across all 10 sites.

Output

Systematica’s work is aimed at establishing a robust and scalable mobility framework supporting the successful delivery of SEVEN’s entertainment destinations across Saudi Arabia.

A combination of peer review, traffic impact studies, and traffic and parking design guidance.

By combining technical peer review, strategic mobility planning, and portfolio-wide design guidance, the project supports one of Saudi Arabia’s most ambitious entertainment development programmes.
