Sherwood Engineers invited Systematica to work on the Concept Design Masterplan for a 250-acre mixed-use development in Waco, Texas. Located on a greenfield site along I-35 between Austin and Dallas, it represents a gateway to the city. We contributed to the development of multimodal systems and connections with Waco, and the creation of pedestrian-friendly public spaces, centered around the site’s ecological assets.

As part of the team led by 2001, we won the Wunnquartier Stade Competition among the 35 initial participants with the STADePARK proposal. The project is a mixed-use development spanning over 10 hectares. Our role focused on transport, accessibility, parking demand and parking design.

Dubai Hills Estate is a 6.8M sqm mixed-use development designed to accommodate approximately 135K residents. On behalf of PenguinCube, we created a set of spatial analysis aimed at defining the strategy for project zoning, neighborhoods, and streets naming, as well as providing advice on the size and connectivity of the different districts.

The Scali Ferroviari urban regeneration initiative aims at enriching and expanding Milan’s public realm. Working with CZA, Systematica developed a mobility and logistics strategy with ad hoc solutions for pedestrians and cyclists. The plan boosts public transport through a proposed Circle Line, linking all redeveloped railyards with the city and the wider metropolitan region.

We worked with Gala on the masterplan for the Jinshan Marina competition, winning 1st prize as Technical Consultant. The 700-hectare mixed-use development is located within the Shangai metropolitan area. We developed integrated strategies for all transport modes, with a strong focus on walkability, supported by GIS-based spatial analysis.

The Thakher City project aimed at creating a new, 2M sqm district in Mecca, close to the Holy Mosque of the Ka’aba, designed to host pilgrims visiting for religious rituals like Hajj. We developed vehicular and pedestrian mobility strategies, supported by simulations of peak scenarios with up to 250K visitors.

We analyzed accessibility for Annonciade II, a new development located in a densely urbanized context in the Principality of Monaco, as part of an international consortium with Rogers Stirk and Harbour + Partners and Gustafson Porte. We quantified the impact of traffic conditions on the area, especially around major nodes, revealed existing and expected traffic distribution through a travel demand forecast, and conducted a parking demand estimate.

The modernization of the Çapa and Cerrahpaşa medical campuses, located at the heart of Istanbul’s Golden Horn peninsula, was a major urban regeneration initiative. Led by Proger, Systematica developed transport planning and traffic engineering strategies for the 70-acre site, addressing road infrastructure and public transport connections to ensure safe and efficient access under all circumstances.
